What to look for

Most render looks fine from the road. These details show whether it was done well.

  • Straight, sharp corners from top to bottom
  • Window reveals the same width all the way round
  • No ripples when sunlight runs across the wall
  • A clean line where render meets brick, stone or timber
  • A bead at the base that stops above the ground
